Any concerns regarding the referees are to be directed to Tim Laurain at timlaurain@rogers.com. Let him know the date, time and game you played, as well as any concerns about a particular referee. 2 referees will be at every game, however, due to unforeseen circumstances some games may only have 1 referee.

 

ADULT & MENS BASKETBALL GAME RULES
 

• Do not touch, grab or hang on rims at any time.
• Referees are asked to call everything including intimidation on shot (no clapping, shouting, stomping, lunging, etc.)
• Games will consist of 2/25 minute halves - running time - with the last minute of the GAME stop time. The clock also stops at player time outs, technicals and referees time outs. Half-time is 1 minute
• A player must have played at least 1 regular season game per session to be eligible to participate in the playoffs.
• Double bonus/penalty at 10 team fouls. In last minute of the game, double bonus occurs on 2nd team foul. 5 player fouls or 2 technical fouls issued to one individual will result in ejection from the game.
• Tied scores stay in regular season play. In playoffs, 2-minute overtime with the last minute stop time. 
• 2 timeouts PER GAME (1 extra timeout for overtime)
• Default time is 10 minutes using the convener's watch. An exhibition game will be played with league players only.
• Teams are responsible for their own players' and fans' behaviour. If players or referees are harassed in any way, those responsible may be asked to leave the property. If they refuse to leave, the game will be forfeited and the team will be disqualified until a referee's board of reference is held.
• Fighting/verbal/physical abuse towards the referees or opponents will result in permanent suspension with no refund.
• Gyms must be cleared right after games.
• During the regular season, if fewer than 5 players show up per team, additional league players may be used to play an exhibition match. During playoffs, only team players can play, otherwise, the team can default and play an exhibition match.
• Gyms must be cleared right after games.
• Please use the appropriate change rooms to get changed. Do not leave valuables in changerooms.
• Clean up garbage from your bench after your game.
• Please check the schedule every Monday for last-minute changes.
